Planning for the CBR     This picture shows the rest of the group planning for our Community-Based Research project. Since I was sick and our leader was absent, we discussed the plan through online chats. Even though we weren’t all physically together, we were still able to share ideas and decide what part we'll be doing. It was a great start to working together, even from a distance.      This quarter, I learned a lot about different topics that has been discussed, especially community-based research (CBR). I discovered how important it is to work with people from a community to understand their needs and find solutions. Conducting CBR helped me see how research can directly benefit communities by involving them in the process. I also learned about the different types of lists in HTML, like the ordered list (ol), unordered list (ul), and nested lists. I now understand how to use description tags like "dd" (definition description), "dt" (definition term), "dl" description list, and how they help organize information clearly.     One of the challenges I faced was understanding how to use all the HTML tags correctly.        Chinese New Year is a big celebration in the Philippines, especially for the Filipino-Chinese community, but many Filipinos also take part in the festivities. This celebration has been part of Filipino culture for centuries because of the strong relationship between the Philippines and China.            Vigan, a city in Ilocos Sur, has a long and rich history that dates back to the Spanish colonial period. It was founded in 1572 and became a prosperous town due to its location near the sea, making it an important center for trade. The town grew and became known for its unique mix of Spanish, Chinese, and local Filipino influences. Vigan’s beautiful colonial architecture, such as its cobblestone streets and old Spanish houses, made it a special place in the Philippines.              Even though Vigan was recognized as a city by the Spanish in 1758, it didn’t always maintain that status over time.      This Christmas holiday was quiet and simple for me. I stayed in my room most of the time, enjoying the peace and quiet. I mostly watched movies and scrolled on social media. Even though I didn’t do anything big, I still felt happy because it was Christmas.      One of my favorite parts of the holiday was helping with the decorations. I helped set up the Christmas tree, hang ornaments, and put up lights. The lights made our house look bright and cheerful. It felt good to help make everything look nice for Christmas. On Christmas Day, I spent time with my family. We ate a big meal and celebrated Christmas together, talking and laughing. I received a gift from my family, and it was fun to open it.      Even though we didn’t have a big party, being together made it special.  In our ICT class, I learned about HTML and the basic HTML tags. HTML is like the language of the internet. It helps us create and design websites. I learned a lot about HMTL Tags and Attribute this Second Quarter, I discovered that tags like <p> for paragraphs are used to organize information on a page. https://mason.gmu.edu/~kshiffl4/375/HTML_Tags.jpg At first, coding felt tricky because I had to be careful with every symbol and letter. But as I practiced, I immediately learned coding and I don't struggle that much anymore. It was a fun quarter, there are good memories and bond we made inside the computer laboratory. For me, I felt like this quarter was easy, I actually made an improvement.
